When a student logs in to his or her account, any scenarios assigned to the class will show up on the home page.

Clicking one of the assignments will open a window to Reason Racer. The student will enter their name, or a nickname, and then go to the game list. One student will create a game, and other students will join that game to play. Games will be named for the player who started them. A single game can hold up to 20 players, so it might not be possible for the entire class to play together. In that case, another student can create a second game.

While students are waiting for their classmates to join the game, they can click their cars to change color. When they are ready, they can click “START” to begin the game. The game will start as soon as a majority of players have indicated they are ready, so it is possible for the game to start before everyone in the class has joined the game. Be sure to tell your students not to start the game if you want everyone to be in and ready. Students who don’t make it in before the game starts can create another game.
